Wondergy Science Wonder + Energy = Learning for Fun Wondergy is a team of scientists who love to play. Everything is unscripted and driven by audience participation. You might even call it science improvisation. But be careful what you wish for, because Wondergy’s scientists may set themselves ablaze, blow stuff up, or send athletes flying over your audience at your request! From world-champion Skateboarders to Laser Shows or Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream, Wondergy brings awesome stuff, and explores the science that makes it work Family-friendly and adaptable, Wondergy events are great for kids, teens, and adults. Wondergy programs typically run between 60 and 90 minutes, and are great for special occasions, pre-school & school programs, summer camps, collegiate events, corporate functions, meetings and keynotes, and more! Wondergy can work with you to create custom programming adapted to your community, your curriculum, your market, and your goals!

From Siberia, Russia, Crystal Trio performs on crystal glass. These professional musicians ‐ Igor Sklyarov, Vladimir Popras and Vladimir Perminov ‐ play special instruments made from glass: Glass Harp, Verrophone and Glass Pan-flute Bass. The current repertoire includes variations of popular classical melodies of Mozart, Boccherini, Glinka,and Vivaldi, in addition to original pieces written specifically for a crystal glass. The mysterious, gentlemurmurs of crystal glass allow the listener to understand known melodies in a new fashion; it opens secret,unexpected sides of classical musical pieces.

Your patrons will enjoy bringing magical books like Harry Potter, Streganona, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, How to Train Your Dragon, Grimm Sisters, and more to life with singer songwriter Lee Knight. Each show turns 6-7 different books into musical numbers starring your patrons! Props, puppets and costumes are used to enhance creativity. Patrons will sing, dance and act to fully orchestrated, original and multi-cultural music.

During the program, the presenter will help patrons plant their own square foot garden, using heirloom seeds. A 4x4 square area can be tilled on library grounds, a vacant lot, or local park with permission prior to the program for a garden site, or an alternative will be to use a contained box garden to inspire patrons of all ages to be aware of where their food comes from and to eat local. I will also talk about heirloom seeds and seed saving, do it yourself vertical hydroponics, and environmental conservation. Some libraries are hosting a community seed swap after the program to increase plant diversity and availability of great food for all. I think this is an AWESOME idea! Explore the physics of skateboarding, with professional skaters and big-scale jumps and tricks. Great for large audiences of all ages! Focus on safety along with skating skills. TOPICS: Center of mass, inertia, gravity, distribution of force Skateboarding workshops also available.

Hundreds of stone chambers, walls, dolmens, petroglyphs, and calendar sites are in the Hudson Valley of NY, and throughout the northeast. Many sites have astronomical alignments to the moon, solstices, and equinoxes. Are they colonial, Native American, or of some other pre-Columbian origins? The program explores the wonder and mysteries that surround these sites.

This program utilizes a floor size game format to learn about space and to explore the many components of what makes up the universe. It is suitable for young children and fosters curiosity about constellations, planets, and galaxies. A portion of the program is devoted to the history of the race to space between Russia and the United States, and where we are today in NASA development.
