Although a bestselling children's author, I also draw on my theater background and my artistic skills during presentations. Depending upon the needs of the venue, I can choose from these different palettes. A typical presentation involves a talk on how I went from being a reluctant reader to an author, a storytelling or dramatic reading from one of my books, and a cartooning lesson. I am passionate about encouraging kids to read, and have spoken at schools and libraries around the country.
