Put the zing in sing this summer! For your special theme this year, I offer you my One World.... Many Songs music program. The children and I will explore songs and languages from around the world through singing, dancing, play-acting and story-telling. With insights and humor arising from the interaction and inventiveness of the kids, I use gentle lessons about understanding and caring for our world and each other. 16 years experience as a full time musician/educator. Fees between $475 and $675 block bookings receive generous discounts.

Make a Splash..Read! program is a 45 minute interactive exploration of the Wonders of Water, Ocean Fun, Fresh Water and Beach Life using songs, story songs and some creative movement. One of Andy's most requested songs, Funky ABC's will be sung and every letter of the alphabet at the audiences suggestion will be water related. To keep traditional music alive and well the old favorite, Down the Bay will be in the repertoire, asking audiences for rhyming suggestions. Children will also have a chance to move like water creatures during a few songs. Much more fun is planned. Audience participation is always encouraged.

Learn how to create beautiful jewelry from the wings of a butterfly! Delicate work involves cutting a small piece of wing, mounting it in a sterling silver plating, and covering it with waterproof apoxy. Necklaces, Rings, Bracelets, Charms, Earrings, Bookmarks, Table Weights. Pieces must dry overnight, and may be taken home by the participants or kept at the library for a 24 hour period. We will also discuss what types of butterflies we are using as well as their life-cycle. Have a sheep shearing fiber festival right at your library! Learn how shepherds care for sheep from lamb to ewe, and watch one of the flock lose their fleece. Then, make a drop spindle from recycled CD's, and after carding you can spin the wool right from the sheep! This program provides patrons with a working knowledge of sheep breeds and their various uses around the world, and wool and spindle to bring home to keep on spinning! Winterberry farm is a fully operating sustainable farm located in Binghamton, NY. Our animals participate in an on farm petting zoo and have toured several libraries and schools around the state. I bring a miniature horse, sheep, goat, angora rabbit, goose, turkey, chicken, duck, and guinea hen; along with anything else that is new or fits in the trailer. Most of our animals are heritage breeds, there is an explanation of the history of the breed, how the animal benefits the farm, what products come from the animal, and general care and management. Celebrating Building a better world: What's way up there on the top of that gleaming new skyscraper? that surprising fringe of green that overlooks the hustle and bustle of the busy city below? It's an old fashioned farm, tended by Hank Bluejeans, whose family has grown fruits and vegetables season after season, as far back as anyone can remember. Well, it wasn't always so way up high. How did it get there? And why? This is a story about embracing the future while cherishing the past - or roots, as Hank Blujeans might say.

Using a variety of songs and instruments, and her collection of BOOKS THAT SING, Nan's presentations are fun and informative and encourage audience participation. Complementing the 2019 SRP theme of A UNIVERSE OF STORIES!, programs will focus on making space in our lives for reading and music and how they are intertwined! Both can carry us to faraway and unexplored places, arousing our imaginations and enriching our knowledge of many topics, including our history, family and community,and nature and the environment.

An exciting mix of material featuring Jay’s guitar and keyboard, After 2,000 performances throughout the Northeast, Jay is ready to rock, enrich, and inspire with his eco-friendly show! This concert is great for all-age audiences, and as in all Playful Earth concerts, there is nothing 'juvenile' here; older kids and parents/caregivers will love the show.
