Kids, bring your family, friends, caregivers, neighbors and head to your local library on foot, bike or car. Once there, Andy The Music Man will offer an age-appropriate, fun- filled, energetic, educational musical program for pre-schoolers through 3rd graders. Ready, Set, Sing! participants will sing, dance, play-act and hear stories in song as they learn about summer activities, nutrition, vocabulary, transportation, animals and much more. Children will be encouraged at the end of the program to hunt for books about the subjects they have sung about. Ready, Set, Sing! is a great combination for your mind and body.

Division, The Blur An Evening with The Blur Division Music
Anyone interested in experiencing an evening of innovative contemporary music is invited to attend this performance and/or lecture program of the New York-based trio The Blur Division. The band is certain to once again demonstrate the limitless possibilities of three exploratory musicians getting together to craft their own original compositions which reconcile history with the future, tradition with technology, and jazz with a unique approach that resists categorization.

Information and demonstration of the recreational and therapeutic benefits of the expressive arts, including visual arts, literary arts, music and movement. Interactive participation encouraged. A visual arts activity may include collage, followed by free writing or poetry and a music/movement piece to express what happened in the process of immersing into the art-making. An explanation of how using a multi-modal approach accesses different senses and expands the experience. This is a no-experience necessary program. no fear program. Music making may include hand-held percussion or stringed instruments.

A Tour of World Flutes with Tereasa Payne Tereasa Payne, flutist, world-flutist, and woodwinds player, from NYC presents a program of 15 flutes from around the world. Audiences learn about and hear flutes from around the world while also learning a message about diversity and acceptance. Flutes included are from India, Romania, South America, Africa, Hawaii, Japan, China, Cambodia, and more! Tereasa is a regular performer with Disney’s “The Lion King” where she performs on 13 of these flutes from around the world.

Both can carry us to faraway and unexplored places, arousing our imaginations and enriching our knowledge of many topics, including our history, family and community,and nature and the environment.

Didgeridoo Down Under is a high-energy, Australia-themed show that combines music, culture, puppetry, comedy, character building, storytelling and audience participation. The didgeridoo, usually a hollow tree trunk, has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years, and is known for its otherworldly sound. But DDU is more than music. It’s interactive, educational, motivational and super fun for all ages!
