FARMER TOM has brought reading excitement to student with assemblies for schools, PARP and libraries for over 25 years! Within his unique and engaging program, involving Action and Silly Songs, Storytelling, Movement, Laughter, Learning, Sing-a-long, Props, Audience Participation and Hand Clapping, Farmer Tom Walsh inspires the students to pick up a book or use the internet(with guidance) and see how enriching, educating and entertaining reading can be! Farmer Tom Walsh educates by bringing a understanding of farm culture, safety, farm animals, history of farming, the first green industry, recycling, science, nutritional value of fresh vegetables, cooperation, working together and the fun of physical activities through music and songs from down on the farm. We really get moving!

We will go over the basics of yo-yo play. This includes how to set up your yo-yo, how to wind the string, and how to start throwing and catching. There will also be a brief demonstration of advanced play to encourage progression.

I offer an interactive presentation for high school students who have loved participating in the performing arts in high school, and who are looking for summer performing arts programs, or who are thinking about majoring in performing arts studies in college or other arts training programs after high school. We examine the range of degree and program options, curriculum considerations, and the process of applying to performing arts studies. It is possible to arrange a multi-day workshop during which I will work with students in small groups and/or individually on developing their college lists and selecting audition material. I provide a wealth of unbiased resources and information about a range of performing arts summer programs, as well as colleges, universities, and conservatory training programs. Prepare for takeoff as Central New York magician Ron Cain launches his new “Martian Magic Show” this summer! Ron appears as Cosmo the Conjuror, a Martian magician who travels the galaxy performing tricks and collecting stories. Naturally, he loves libraries and admires the 2019 New York state library summer reading program theme, “A Universe of Stories.” Throughout the 45-minute show, Cosmo demonstrates Martian powers like telepathy and psychokinesis. He tells tales and shares illusions picked up from visits to various planets. Volunteers help him rescue the Man in the Moon and have fun playing characters from Mercury, Venus & Pluto. Cosmo also teaches children facts about space travel and encourages them to explore the library’s “universe of stories." A former teacher and Syracuse University graduate, Ron specializes in educational magic for schools and libraries. Children participate in shows promoting reading, history, science and the environment. He also teaches magical workshops and classes on everything from Magic to Monsterology.

This not-to-be-missed multi-media presentation promises to be lively, entertaining and full of video clips of the Beatles' songs and musical examples!

However, she was more than just the beautiful muse and wife to one of the greatest of the Lost Generation writers. Rita Parisi, in her one-woman original play, will pay tribute to an often misunderstood woman; a woman who was also a mother, an accomplished dancer, an exhibited artist and a published writer in her own right. *appropriate for mature teens and older. *includes some stage lighting

The One-Man Circus in-a-Suitcase gives everyone an opportunity to participate in an enthralling, whimsical celebration of the imagination. This show has been performed over 500 times around the globe, for family theater audiences and school assemblies alike. However, the most important performers emerge from the audience. Explore the wonders of nature with a celebration of stories and songs for age 4 and up! Hear how the great, wise King Solomon sought help from a little bee, how watching caterpillars become butterflies as a child changed Tim's life, and more. Tim’s dramatic style of voice, movement, and facial expression brings stories to life, and his gift of encouraging participation makes for high-spirited and engaging programs. He’ll accompany songs with guitar, mountain dulcimer, and conga drum. A program bibliography will be available so that books containing the stories can be on display, and Tim will recommend them in the program to celebrate and encourage reading. Tim Van Egmond has been delighting and captivating audiences all over the country for over 30 years. He has been selected for the New England States Touring Program, the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s Education Programs, and the New Hampshire State Library's Kids, Books, and the Arts Project.

Open Hand Theater’s vibrant puppets of all shapes and sizes, some over 12 feet tall, are taking on the issue of bullying and escalating conflict in a colorful and delightful imaginary land inhabited by juggling dwarfs, stretchy bouncing giants, friendly flowers and other wise musical beings. Springer and Sprong, two seemingly inseparable pals, tumble into a series haphazard events that could lead to a catastrophic quarrel. Will the entire town follow them into battle? … or will a small stream of harmony bring them all back together again?
