This family program contains some old chestnuts as well as great new Halloween stories full of surprises. All tales are appropriate for family audiences and contain a well-rounded blend of suspense and humor. 'Thank you again for a wonderful Halloween performance. Corn-Tastic - We learn about the many uses of Corn in today’s world. We learn the science and benefits, to the world, Corn brings and how we can all be the future, through education, of discovery. Farmer Tom Walsh, during his program, will distribute agriculture and farm related STICKERS to the fair goers. BEE ON THE FARM: Farmer Tom Walsh’s program has an agricultural theme that begins with a fun and educational story and then song on the life of bees. During the show everyone will gain an appreciation for the importance of bees in agriculture production. Bee My Friend: Everyone will gain an appreciation for the importance of bees in agriculture production. Cooperation with and respect for others (Dignity for All Students Act) is available for Elementary grade levels with his original story, The wooly bully bee, is a story of a bee that is misunderstood and everyone helps to tell the tale! Performance Preparation: Activities can include curriculum requirement, cooperation with others, farming, vegetables, recycling, nutrition, safety, history and music.

Join Professional Magician Bill Gormont, as Captain Bill, on a visit to Character Island where he explores The Magic of 8 Big Ideas. He presents an interactive, educational performance blending magical entertainment with valuable ideas for children to live with, and grow through their teen years into caring responsible adults. Captain Bill effectively delivers the message to elementary grades K through 6 as he educates and entertains. Throughout the show, Captain Bill uses fun, laughter, excitement and surprise to reinforce each of the 8 Big Ideas: Be a Friend, Be Responsible, Believe in Yourself, Help Others, Play Fair, Share with Others, Have Tolerance for Others and Work Together. To close the show, Captain Bill and some treasure hunters from the audience magically discover an old map that leads them to a treasure chest hidden on the island many years before. Legend says the chest contains a valuable treasure. Is it gold, silver, diamonds, pearls or money? The visitors to the island are the only ones who can discover the secret. This show is ideal for elementary schools, child development centers and libraries where the focus is reinforcing the fundamentals of youth character development education through fun, experiential learning.

Live performance of solo classical guitar music from the 16th to 21st centuries, featuring the music of composers such as J.S. Bach, Fernando Sor, Heitor Villa Lobos, John Dowland, Antonio Lauro, Manuel Ponce, Francisco Tarrega, Isaac Albeniz, and others. I will also incorporate discussion of relevant historical information that pertains to the pieces performed.

Henry the Juggler (AKA Henry Lappen) is wanted! He is wanted by audiences everywhere for his zany attempts to defy the laws of gravity. He juggles any number of balls, clubs, rings, members of the audience . . . He balances strange items on the tip of his nose. Everything is accomplished wordlessly as Henry uses body language and gesture (and road signs!) to express himself. Caution: Henry is known to use innocent bystanders in his act. Henry the Juggler is a professional. He has been seen by tens of thousands up and down the East Coast - at theaters, schools, libraries and festivals. He has been performing for over thirty years. He studied physical comedy at California's Dell'Arte School and continues to expand his abilities through classes in yoga and tango. He is an active member of the International Jugglers' Association. A workshop follows each show, where Henry teaches some of the skills he has presented.

Graham, Michael A Holiday Fantasy / The Three Wishes Performing Arts- Puppetry
A HOLIDAY FANTASY Enchanted toys, fairy magic and a clever mouse are just some of the surprises in A Holiday Fantasy, an original puppet production by Michael Graham’s Spring Valley Puppet Theater. The story unfolds to the music of Massenet, Glazunov, Lecocq and others! THE THREE WISHES That’s just what happens to Henry and Gretchen in this puppet production of The Three Wishes. This folktale favorite is flavored with a dash of dialogue, a generous helping of humor and the twists of plot for which the Spring Valley Puppet Theater is known. This program is followed by a curtain down question and answer period in schools and a demonstration for public performances.
