At certain points in one's life, it may become important to heal, to “empty” or “clean house” internally, in order to release old, worn-out beliefs, patterns, negative thought processes and unwarranted fears. Shamanic Journeying is the perfect way to heal old hurts, even stubborn ones, in order to experience wholeness and optimal health and well-being. Each workshop has a unique theme. Examples of themes are Seasons of the year, elements of Nature, such as water, essences of particular plants, such as pine from the forest, etc. I may lead students through a series of very gentle Yoga stretches and breathing techniques to help them to relax. We then transition into Shamanic Journeying, in order to get in touch with our innate wisdom and sense of perfect wholeness. In this state of consciousness, it becomes possible for students to gain profound insights into their own lives, those of their friends and loved ones, as well as the wider world in which we all live. Journeying as a group helps to create a safe, secure and supportive environment, in which an individual feels validated in her/his own experience.

Children and their caregivers will bend, stretch, kick and jump as they study traditionalChinese Kung Fu/Yoga exercises set to children's tunes with Chinese Kung Fu Black Belt Emily Ellison. Participants will enjoy exercising together as they experiment with martial art exercises and the elements of traditional ballet and modern dance. They will increase energy, learn real Kung Fu exercises and stretches to bring home for every day family exercise.

An introduction to principles of sound wellness and the use of the voice as an instrument. Participants learn about sacred sound, psychoacoustics, breathing mindfully, cross-cultural mantra, vocalizations and chant. Fun and supportive gestures are taught to support the voice, and the relaxing, meditative state of mind you are capable of entering. Through the use of the voice as a sound portal, multiple benefits occur - emotional, physical benefits and spiritual connections are strengthened. You do not need to be a singer or have any musical background. No wrong note instruments may be demonstrated and available for audience participation.

I was first introduced to the powerful healing art of Yoga more than 35 years ago, and I desire to share my expertise and passion with you! My Chair Yoga classes for seniors incorporate gentle stretching and modified Yoga postures, adapted to suit the particular needs of each student. The Yoga warm-ups and postures that I teach are designed to gently stretch, tone and strengthen the body, while simultaneously helping to preserve range of motion. Furthermore, regular Yoga practice can be quite effective in helping to relieve the painful symptoms of physical ailments such as Arthritis, which may otherwise compromise one’s quality of life. Students also learn ancient Yoga breathing exercises, which help to strengthen the lungs, heighten mental clarity, calm the nervous system, and improve sleeping patterns among other things. I encourage my students to respect their bodies while exercising, and teach many different variations and modifications of each warm-up and posture, taking into account any special needs they may have. Each class ends with a unique and beautifully relaxing meditation, which varies from one class to another, and which one student sweetly referred to as “the icing on the cake”.

This class has a lecture and a lab component. We are surrounded by, infiltrated, and even share our genes with microbes. Are they friend, or foe? Are you on a quest to annihilate your best allies? Patrons will be introduced to the world of beneficial microbes and how they protect us and promote our health. Patrons will learn about different classes of microbes, their morphology, and learn how to culture petri-film, and test pH of various experimental mediums. Would compliment nicely with a reading of Sally Fallon's Nourishing Traditions, or Rodney Deitert's The Human Super-Organism. Suitable for 2017 summer reading programs.
