Program description: All Strung Out is a band of four very experienced musicians who perform popular music of the 20th century of all genres and all decades. We choose songs that just won't die, because they are too powerful, too delightful, too sad, too true, or just too beautiful. And we talk about two things: 1) Why such a song might have been popular at the time it hit big, given the social scene of that time, and 2) The often-surprising politics behind the song's rise to the top. Former NY State school teacher, stand up cmic, and folksinger Joe Marshall and his band have put together an evening of entertainment and education that is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
