Audience size: flexible
Program description: (Women & Wingspan: same workshop with female-only participants) To be human is to be creative. Even so, many of us have trouble connecting to, nurturing and prioritizing our creativity. In this engaging, interactive, values-centered workshop, participants will learn strategies to connect to their internal compass and find patience and tolerance for taking artistic risks. Activities will include facilitated exercises, discussion, writing and reflection, with music and inspiring images enhancing the environment. Themes will include: myths and the creative process, inspiration, embracing fear and vulnerability, identifying and overcoming stumbling blocks, embracing intrinsic expression regardless of outcome, connecting your art & values, and allowing your unique perspective to shine. No matter from which creative arena – painting, drawing, pottery, poetry, photography, music and beyond – each participant will have protected time and space to re-discover and re-commit to expressing their creative core.
