Music
Program length: 60-90 minutes
Audience level: Teens
Audience size: Up to 20
Program description: The Songs to Start a Fire “Magic Circle” Workshop brings the participants together in a circle to co-create an atmosphere of safety, healing, and possibility. Today we are faced with constant messages about how to act, feel, and look. The songs and exercises in this workshop put the power back where it belongs: in our own hearts and minds. Inside the circle, participants find the safety and support they need to give voice to their fears and struggles. As we share and sing with the group, we begin to break down the walls of isolation and self-doubt. Through positivity, honesty and raised voices, participants find the compassion to befriend themselves, and the courage to become their own hero.
Space/special requirements: Music friendly area with seating that can be arranged in a circle.
