Program length: 1 hour
Audience level: All ages
Audience size: 150
Program description: Get Ready – we’re going to construct and build a real dinosaur dig! Field Paleontologists Mike and Roberta Straka will construct a dinosaur dig site right in your library. Imagine the excitement as your summer reading patrons get a chance to dig for REAL dinosaur bones. Next, we will identify the bones and finally, they will place the fossils on a Triceratops cut out. They will actually build a Triceratops with the bones that they discover. It’s been over 10 ten years since we offered this hands-on presentation. In addition, before each dig, Mike will present a 30-minute interactive fossil talk to get our Jr. Paleontologists ready to go on their dig. During the talk, Mike will cover how and where we find fossils. He will show some of our amazing discoveries from the time of the dinosaurs to the time of the ice age. As a special bonus, after the dig each patron can spend time looking at our expanded fossil museum. Rare and unusual fossils that we have discovered will be on display. Fossils will come to life in this fun-filled adventure.
Space/special requirements: The library needs to supply 2 or 3 six foot tables for the museum and some floor space to set-up the digging pits. The tables and pits do not have to be in the same room. Weather permitting, the dig can be outside. We do provide our own sound system.
Travel restrictions:
Program fee: $351- $500
Is this fee negotiable? Yes

Notes about the fee: Our fee of $350. includes one fossil talk, one dig workshop (this can accommodate 50 participants) and a visit to our fossil museum.
