Program description: Native American Tunes Songs, chants and tunes drawn from various tribes, display of Native American style flutes, historical information and demonstration with tunes played on the Native American style flute, drums and rattles. Shaker Tunes and Movement Songs collected from the Shakers with movement or gestures, including “I Will Bow and Be Simple,” “Love Is Little,” and “More Love,” and “I Will Bend Like the Willow” Appalachian and Traditional Potpourri Songs and tunes from the Appalachian Trail, Colonial times, and the Underground Railroad played on the Appalachian mountain lap dulcimer and banjitar. Audience participation encouraged.
