Performers and Programs

Program Information

Program name: Hocus Focus
Program category: Performing Arts- Mime
Program length: 45-55 minutes
Audience level: All ages
Audience size: 300
Program description: This is a performance where the character uses a HOW TO Book to communicate the idea that if you can read and follow directions you can learn to do or make anything you desire. Rich Kuperberg is a master clown/mime/musician that carries a red bag full of props, masks and musical instruments. He gets caught in the rain during a parade and his umbrella prevents him from continuing on until he masters various tasks outligned in his big red book. He uses the audience and his ability to read and follow directions to free himself from the confines of ignorance so he may grow and be free and confront new challenges that life puts before him. It is a feel good moment where Clown Red and the audience come together to help him succeed in his final accomplishment as he marches off and joins the parade of life.
