Program description: People around the world keep bugs as pets. Award-winning writer and crafts designer Kathy Ceceri will show kids how to make cricket cages, ant farms, firefly lanterns and worm bins from recycled containers and crafts materials. Participants will learn how to catch bugs, how to care for them, and how to safely let them go. And everyone will get to make a quick-and-easy mesh butterfly cage to take home! Handouts with directions,fun bug facts and insect information are included. Perfect for ages 7 and up. For photos, go to www.craftsforlearning.com.
Space/special requirements: Tables, chairs and space to do an art activity, plus an adult helper.
